ELEVEN WEEKS OF PREGNANCY
YOUR BABY IS ABOUT AS BIG AS A FIG
HOW YOUR BABY'S GROWING
Measuring from head to bottom your baby is now about 4.1cm.or about the size of a FIG .His hands will soon open and close into fists and he'll be able to grasp his umbilical cord. His veins and arteries are developing, and they are visible under his thin layer of skin.
Your baby's face looks more human, as his features take shape and his mouth becomes almost fully formed . The bones of his palate are fusing together and the tiny buds of his milk teeth continue to grow within his gums. His fingers may even be growing tiny nails already .
Although your baby's eyes may still be closed. he's far from asleep. He's busy flexing his muscles by kicking and stretching. and may have started hiccupping now that his diaphragm is stronger. You're unlikely to feel these tiny movements, through .Most mums don't feel anything until about 18 o 20 weeks.,and it may take longer if this is your first baby.
Most of your baby's critical development will tail off in the next couple of weeks. His main task off in the next six months will be to grow larger and stronger and this included rapid growth of his brain.
