27 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY

HOW BABY GROWS

Baby is the same  as a head   of cauliflower and he probably measures  over 36.6cm from head to heal. This is an exciting week for you baby as he opens his eyes  for the first time. Your baby is now having more regular phases  of beings asleep and awake which may be reflected in his movements./ If you haven't noticed a pattern to his movements  yet you probably  will over the next few weeks.
While you baby sleeps he's likely to start experiencing periods of rapid eye movement sleep , the phase of sleep in which we dream/ While he dreams his eyes will dart back and forth behind closed eyelids and you may  even feel him give the occasional twitch.
Special cells in your baby's  lungs are now producing a substance called surfactant, which will help his air sacs to inflate once he's brething   after birth/ For now he practices breathing by inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid

What cause dazziness  and fainting in pregnancy

Fluctuations in your   your blood pressure may make you feel dizzy or faint. The hormone progesterone makes your veins widen from early pregnancy ,cause your blood pressure to drop. This may be worse if you sit or stand too  quickly.     Later   in pregnancy the weight of your baby can squeeze the blood vessels in your legs, pelvis  and lower body. This can also make you feel dizzy and woolly -headed as your blood pressure drop.

As your baby's reflexes develop and his hearing improves he may react to a sudden loud  noise by jumping or kicking his legs / You'll no doubt feel his reaction !This is a special time in your pregnancy  as you and your baby begin to feel and respond to each other.

WELCOME TO THIRD TRIMESTER

 How Your Baby's Developing

By the end of this month your baby will weight over a kilogram - heavier than an average bag of sugar and be about 39cm from head to heel about the size of a butternut squash.
This month your baby is plumping  up nicely gaining healthy fat under her skin that helps her look less wrinkled and more like a newborn/. Don't  worry if you cann't  make it out though as it can be tricky to get the right spot.
