 36 WEEKS PREGNANCY;

BABY'S GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT;

HOW'S YOUR BABY'S GROWING

Your baby weight nearly 2.6kg and at just over47.4cm .she's similarly length to a romaine lettuce . Your pregnancy is considered full term by the end of this week , meaning your baby is ready to be born any day . Bear in mind, only about five per cent of babies are born on their due date. Most women's give birth sometimes between 38 weeks and 42 weeks.
Your baby continues to shed what's left of her downy lanugo hair and vernix caseosa , the protective substance that covers her skin. She'll swallow  this hair and skin and store it in her bowels as meconium, a black or dark green sticky substance . This meconium will become her first poo
Your midwife will check what position your baby is in at your next antenatal appointment. It's likely that she's in the cephalic position , which means her  head is pointing down . Her head may even have moved down into your pelvis ready for birth. If this happens you might feel like your baby bump had moved down and you have more room to breath . This is called lightening, Although it means your baby is ready to be born , it's not necessarily a sign that she's on her way yet.
Don't be disheartened if you're not engaged yet. Some babies don't move into the pelvis until after labour has started.

35 WEEKS PREGNANCY

BABY'S GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT

HOW YOUR BABY'S GROWING;

Your baby now weight  nearly 2.4kg,about the same as a honeydew melon , and measures around 46.2 cm from head to heel. He'll gain about 28g a day over the next few weeks. It may be possible to know how your baby's moving in your womb  just by looking at your bump . Depending on his position , you may see a rise and fall as he rolls over or rhymic twitches as he gets the hiccups  . Now that he's getting big, your baby's movements may feel a bit uncomfortable . As  your baby takes up more space in your womb , the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding him is naturally decreasing. Although the end of your pregnancy is now very much is sight, your baby's still got a little bit more growing to do before he arrives.

34WEEKS PREGNANCY

BABY'S GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT;

HOW YOUR  BABY'S GROWING

Your baby is the size of a cantaloupe melon. She weighs more than 2.1kg and is about 45cm from head to heel. You may fid it reassuring to know that babies born at 34 weeks of pregnancy, who have no other health problems , are able to survive and thrive outside the womb.
Your baby is continuing to dill out . Her layers of fat will help to regulate her body temperature once she's born although  she'll still need you to make sure she doesn't get too hot or cold.  Your baby already knows your voice, but it may now be possible for her to recognise lullabies and songs too. This is because the part of her ear that sends messages to her brain is becoming more mature.

PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS AT 34 WEEKS

Heartburn and indigestion may be making a comeback now your baby's pushing up against your tummy/. It may help to eat small meals throughout the day instead of three big meals .  Try not to lie down straight after eating either. A nice nap after dinner may sound like a good idea. , but lying down too soon can leave you feels bloated and uncomfortable.

33 WEEKS PREGNANCY

BABY'S GROWTH AND SYMPTOMS;

HOW BABY GROWS

Your baby now weighs about 1.9kg almost the same as a pineapple, and measures over 43.7cm from head to heel. His brain and nervous system are fully developed, and he's starting to develop his own immune system.
Your baby's skin is becoming less wrinkled as he plumps up in preparation for birth. Due to the  amount of white fat underneath his skin, your baby's complexion is less red  than it has been previously . After he's born the tone and colour of his skin may develop over several months. particularly if he's African  Caribbean or mixed race.
Your baby's skull is soft and the plates of bone that form  it are not yet fused . During birth these plates will slide over each other as he eases through the  birth canal. You'll be able to see or feel the gaps in your baby's skull when he's born. They won't finish closing until he's about 18 months old.
If you're having a boy , his testicles are continuing their descent form his abdomen into his scrotum. Sometimes, one or both testicles don't fully descend until after birth.  This is especially common in babies who are born prematurely. Most undescended testicles are in place by the time your baby's about six months old.

 PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS

There's  no need to worry if your breasts are already leaking . In fact they've been starting to make colostrum your baby's first milk from about 14 weeks of pregnancy

31 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY

BABY'S WEIGHT,SIZE AND  SYMPTOMS ;

HOW YOUR BABY'S GROWING

 Your baby now weights about 1.7kg and is as long as a kale leaf, around 42.4cm from the head to heel. From 32 weeks , babies born early have a good chance of surviving and thriving, although they may need help to breathe at first. This is because the lungs won't be fully developed until just before birth.
Your baby's fingernails and toenails are now fully formed. If she gets an itch, she may gently scratch herself  .Your  baby's hair is getting thicker, although  it may thin out after birth.  By this stages, your baby may be getting ready for birth by lying in your womb , with her head pointing downwards. If she's not this way round yet don't worry. Most babies adopt a head-down position by 36 weeks. so there's still plenty of time for her to turn.

31  Weeks Of Pregnancy

 How your baby's growing at 31 weeks of pregnancy

Your baby is gaining weight all the time plumping up and  looking more like a newborn every day. All this growing means he has less room to manorevre , so his movements may start to feel a little different in the coming weeks. However, you should still feel him wriggling, squirming and kicking just as often as before.

If you fell ass though your baby isn't moving as usual, get in contact with  your midwife straight, away.

Reduced movement can be a sign that your baby may be unwell  so it's always best to get things checks out just to be on the safe side.

Pregnancy symptoms at 31 Weeks

Is your bump giving you backache? In these last few moths of pregnancy, your bump could take its toll on your lower back, but there's plenty you can do to get more comfortable.
   Try not to lift anything heavy, as this could strain your muscles and ligaments further . If  you'r finding it hard to avoid lifting. Regular exercise  can also help to relieve back pain , by strengthening you muscles and helping to improve your posture. Pregnancy pilates is a great choice for building core strength, while swimming may be more comfortable , as the water sports your bump.

 Complementary therapies such as massages may help you feel better too.

WELCOME TO THIRD TRIMESTER

 How Your Baby's Developing

By the end of this month your baby will weight over a kilogram - heavier than an average bag of sugar and be about 39cm from head to heel about the size of a butternut squash.
  This month your baby is plumping  up nicely gaining healthy fat under her skin that helps her look less wrinkled and more like a newborn/. These fat stores will also help to maintain her body temperature  after the birth though she'll still rely on you and your partner to keep her warm and safe. As your baby grows her spine is getting stronger,    MADE from a whopping 150 joints and 1000 ligaments it helps  to support your little one's increasing weight.
Your baby's lungs are also continuing to mature getting ever closer to the day when she'll be ready to take her  first breath/ By the end of this month, your baby's heart will beat   so strongly  that you may be able to hear it if you hold your ear next to your partner's belly. Don't  worry if you cann't  make it out though as it can be tricky to get the right spot.

29 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY;DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH

HOW BABY GROW'S

Your baby now weights a little over 1.1 kg  and is about 38.6cm  from head to heel . He's about the size of a butternut squash. His brain which was once smooth is gaining new folds and grooves  as it become more complex. Incredibly brain growth requires more than half the energy used by your baby. By the end of your third trimester, his brain will have created billions of neurons .
YOUR baby's  bones continue to harden. About 200mg of calcium is deposited in his skeleton every day. This is the same amount of calcium that you get from drinking a glass of milk. Other vitamins and minerals are also essential for your baby's developing bones, so make sure you're eating a well balanced diet.
 Eating well at this stage of pregnancy is important for your health and your baby's health. Try to eat plenty of iron rich food, which helps you make red blood cells.  Your baby will take iron stores from your body, so he wont't  run short, but you might.   .    Boost your iron intake by having meals with iron sources such as lean meat, leafy green and fortified cereal in your diet.

Enjoy your pregnancy

Have a good day

28WEEKS OF PREGNANCY ;DEVELOPMENT  AND GROWTH

 HOW BABY GROW'S

Now your baby weight is just over 1kg about the same as an aubergine, and will be at least 37.6cm long. Her heart rate has slowed down although at 140 beats per minute it's about ttwice as fast as yours. Your baby now has delicate eyelashes and her eyes can produce tears.
If you're detecting tiny rhythmic movements in your womb it's probably your baby hiccupping some mums-to-be describe it as a tickling sensation or a series of tiny jerks. Knowing what your baby is experiencing inside your womb can be a real comfort at this stage and it can also help you to bond with your growing baby.Hiccups are a natural and normal reflex, and won't  cause any harm or distress to your baby/ You may feel them frequently, or just onc in a while. Ifmay be hard to identify a hiccup from your baby's other regular movements

SYMPTOMS

Are you feeling the itch? Wheather it's  down to stretching skin  or changing hormones upto a quarter of women find that their  skin becomes more itchy during pregnancy. You may feel it particularly on your bump and boobs, and the sensation can be truly irritating.  In rare cases itchy skin  can be a symptom of a condition called obstetric cholestatis, which affects the liver,. Although this is rare it can be serious. So while itching  is usually nothing to worry about, you should still mention it to your midwife , just in case.
Have a good day  ,Be calm and enjoy your pregnancy
