24 WEEKS OF PREGNANCY;GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
HOW BABY'S GROWING
Now your baby is partially grows . The weight up to 600g and is starting to fill the space in your womb . From head to heel she now about as long as an ear or corn ,which is about 30CM. Her patterns of sleeping and waking are becoming more defined although they may not happen when you'd like them to. You will find that when you are trying to sleep, she is alert and kicking.
Your baby's brain is growing rapidly and her facial muscles are getting a workout as she tests out different expressions by rising her eyebrows.
Although your baby still has a lot of growing to do before she's ready to be born . She
is now considered viable/. This means that if she were to be born this week her lungs are developed enough so that she has a good chance of survival with extra care in a neonatal unit./
SYMPMTOMS
You may notice faint red streaks or stretch marks on your tummy, hips, bottom and breasts.
Rubbing on creams can make you feel more comfortable and help soothe and itching you may feel but it won't get rid of stretch marks or prevent them/ Stretch marks are typical at this stages of pregnancy and will fade to faint marks after you give birth..
You may also find that your eyes are more sensitive to light, and feel gritty and dry./ This is a perfectly normal pregnancy symptom known as dry eye syndrome. If your dry eye are bothering you see your GP . Dry eyes can be treated with artificial tears or ointments but check with your doctor whats best to use.
